Review of the Valerie Plested workshop Apr 15, 1999

Just returned from big plain records workshops.  Valerie was great.  What a neat person and an excellent player.  We spent a great deal of time on ornaments and bowing technique.  It was very good.  I learned that I was having problems with rolls because I was changing bow directions.  When Valerie pointed this out I tried the roll with just one bow stroke and it almost sounded good.
